It would be useful to see time by office too as my son’s renewal only took 9 days (Liverpool) and my daughter’s application still says waiting for her to send her old passport which was sent at same time as son’s on 4 May so we are worried about her application (Durham)
My husbands passport arrived today from Bootle we both applied on 7th May. Mine has gone to Hemel Hempstead and I still do not know if they have received yet.
It took 2 weeks for Hemel to acknowledge receiving mine (sent 5th May, Royal Mail tracked).
Received email today. Feeling quite anxious!
Hi Tracy,
This may be a stupid question, but how do you know which passport office is dealing with it? I sent my old passport off last week (9 May), the post office confirmed it was signed for on the morning of 10 May but not being acknowledged as being received by passport office yet?
Please start including lost replacements here as the timelines seem to be very different!
Granddaughter’s passport applied on 16 April 2022 as normal application but due to my son’s business partner getting told he has terminal cancer and the paperwork is not signed off yet so they twice submitted ETRA Applications to expedite her passport and after being verbally abused by 2 members of staff slagging him off when they thought he couldn’t hear them and spending over 2 weeks 6 hours per day on the phone and submitting a complaints email last night due to being told so many different things, today FINALLY her passport is showing as being processed! SO MUCH FOR AN EMERGENCY APPLICATION!
