After a call back from passport office today I’ve finally had the text saying they’ve got the old passport! At least I know it’s there and can sit and wait now.

How long did it take for the passport office to send the text to say they had received the old one? I’m still waiting for them to text me about my son’s even though royal mail said it was signed for last Tuesday. Thanks

Hi Tracey, I posted it on 19th June and just received it today but I think that’s because I called them, I explained I think it might be lost as it hadn’t been signed for on the royal mail website. It might be worth giving them a call.

Misbah -I called them around 4pm yesterday and they called back around midday today.

Thanks @debs55. I called them today but they wouldn’t even take the passport application number to check. They said just to wait as they are very busy!

left a message for complaints, left message for emergency travel people.. have to go away due to family emergency.. and can’t go.. been told yesterday that they haven’t even done checks, it’s really frustrating that people who applied a lot later got their passports already.

I sent my application on the 22/06 and today at 6.30 I received a message that they have received my old passport (it took 10 days)

Peterborough – They received (signed delivery) on 1st June but didn’t Receive on to system until 4th June.
Still no update 30 days later since they received/ 25days since started processing

Child renewal – Durham – Total process applying and receiving new passport was 41 days (was bank holiday) – blue passport
Adult renewal – Glasgow – Total process applying and receiving new passport was 13 days (was bank holiday) – burgundy passport

Yet Glasgow Newport Belfast and Liverpool all sorted and received

Just received some documents I sent for the application today, should be receiving the passport in the next couple of days. Our case was a little urgent as we were relocating and my partner’s visa was expiring very soon.

Documents sent to Peterborough. I am yet to receive the passport but have missed something from Royal Mail today, was unsure if they are still using TNT or now using Royal mail?
