It still says in processing on the status screen. We are due to travel in 12 days so hope this means it’s finally moving along?

June 24, 2020 at 6:24 pm #1278ClaireCParticipantI am completely perplexed by the whole process. Similar, standard applications are being approved, despite being submitted at a later date than others?! This seems to be the same at all the offices from what I’ve read. I submitted my son’s renewal (u12yrs) online on 31/5. Documents received 8/6, the application has remained in processing since 9/6. Someone earlier mentioned an examination phase, hopefully they will be able to assist.
While it is refreshing to hear of applications being finalised, it can also be frustrating when yours isn’t moving while others are breezing through the system. Good luck all!- This reply was modified 4 years, 5 months ago by ClaireC. Reason: Spelling

June 25, 2020 at 9:10 am #1313MrsM1982ParticipantHas anyone had any joy with a child renewal at the Newport office? I sent old documents to Peterborough but have just been told the application is with the Newport office. I’m desperate, our holiday is 18th July and I applied online 23rd May, in processing since 3rd June.
June 25, 2020 at 9:18 am #13149984SarahParticipantWe are in a similar situation. Applied 27th, went to processing 4th June and that’s where it’s stayed. I have chased it up via Twitter a few times.
June 25, 2020 at 9:20 am #13159984SarahParticipantThat’s great for you. But just fuels my frustration. I applied to Durham for standard child renewal 27th may, went to processing 4th June. It hasn’t moved since then. They can’t have any sort of system based on the evidence I’m seeing!!
June 25, 2020 at 9:23 am #1316Daddybear35Participant@9984sarah I am the same at Glasgow applied 29/5/20 been sitting a processing since 5th June.
June 25, 2020 at 9:24 am #13179984SarahParticipantIf our holiday goes ahead this could be the reason we can’t go!!
June 25, 2020 at 10:01 am #1320SimonSParticipantHi,
I submitted the application for passport last thursday and yesterday I received an email saying that the process is taking longer than usual due to COVID … Have all of you received the same email?. I’ve already submitted all documents just waiting for the status change on letter received, reading all your post is likely to refresh tomorrow (7 days). I assume you all have as seems as an automated email but just wanted to check
Thank you
June 25, 2020 at 10:21 am #1324YasmineParticipant@SimonS I had made my daughters New Child Application on the same day you submitted yours, on the 18th I sent the documents as first class and they were received on the 19th, yesterday I received the generic email mentioning the delays. Today I received a text and email saying they have received my documents. They usually process your documents 6 days after they receive them for Durham at the moment.
