Estimate My Passport Arrival
How This Passport Arrival Estimate Works
The Passport Waiting Time estimate adds the current published waiting-time figure for your application type to your application date and labels that date as “around”. Those figures come from eligible applicant timelines measured in calendar days from application submitted to passport received.
Official guidance is shown separately. HM Passport Office currently says you will usually get your passport within 3 weeks, and that processing time starts when they receive your documents.
This tool does not invent a confidence interval, and it does not predict a guaranteed delivery date.
How Long Are UK Passports Currently Taking?
The estimator uses the same published Passport Waiting Time figures shown on the current waiting-times pages. If a published figure changes, this estimate changes with it.

Passport Waiting Time Data vs Official Guidance
Official GOV.UK / HM Passport Office guidance is government processing guidance. Processing time starts when they receive your documents.
Passport Waiting Time measures real applicant-reported application-to-receipt experiences. The two figures answer different questions and are not directly equivalent.
Individual applications vary. Neither figure guarantees an arrival date.
Why Might My Passport Take Longer?
Passing a published average does not mean your application is delayed. Cases can take longer because of identity checks, extra documents, interviews or demand.
This tool cannot diagnose a specific file. Use the official GOV.UK tracking service for the status of your application.

Individual applicant experiences show how completed first adult, adult renewal, first child and child renewal applications compared with current published figures.
