Child first passport

Morning, does anyone have a idea of how long it takes for the documents (birth certificate)to show as received online ? They were signed for a week ago and it’s still asking me to send documents.

Child's first passport applied 12th July documents received on 29th July has any1 else recently applied for a child's first passport and have an insight to how long until you received the passport please.

Best not to book for mid September yet. Our documents were received over a week ago and it hasn't started processing yet. Could well be at least a couple of weeks from processing looking at replies above.

I’m also waiting for my sons first passport. Update: we never got an application being processed notification after the documents were noted as being received. But 2 weeks later it was approved, and a day after that the passport was dispatched. So overall in August 2021 it took 3 weeks from when documents were delivered to the passport office (they acknowledged receipt of documents 3 working days later) to passport being dispatched. So not too bad.

That’s very helpful information! Thanks for sharing! It will be 2 weeks tomorrow since our docs were received so perhaps it will be similar for us! Fingers crossed!

Any joy yet? Your docs were received three days ahead of ours so I imagine your timeline will be a good indicator :-) fingers crossed you get it soon!

No joy for me. Site still only showing documents received no other updates since 20th August.

Just received notification my child’s first passport has been approved today, 8th September. Still needs to be delivered and going by Spencer1s application should be received in a week or so.
