Hey! How long has everyone been waiting recently!?? I applied start of Jan and still waiting, I kind of need my passport fast but not urgent so couldn’t get an appointment. Thanks!

Hey, Hope someone can help. How long is it taking from Glasgow for adult renewals at the moment. Totally forgot about the added months not meaning anything anymore and I fly last week of April. Is there any hope? I sent my old passport off today. Thanks in advance.

I’ve been checking this forum regularly so just wanted to update with my experience. Sent two applications for child renewals one went to Durham (our closest office) and one went to Glasgow ….both passports arrived a day apart. Glasgow office: Submitted online application: 23rd Feb Old PP sent/counter signatory completed: 24th Feb Royal Mail tracking signed for: 25th Feb Old PP officially received: 8th March Application approved: 11th March Sent: 14th March Passport arrived: 16th March - I wasn’t in and it was posted through the door. 3 weeks 1 day - start to finish Durham office 3weeks 0 days - start to finish Glasgow office. I was sent both an email and text at each of these stages so there really is no need to check the progress of the application unless you’ve not put your contact details.

Has anyone had recent experience with Glasgow passport office? Our application was transferred there from Liverpool on 16th March. Has been showing processing since 21st March. Thanks

Is anyone waiting for their passport from this office? I submitted a child first application on 7th March, documents were linked on 23rd March but absolutely no movement since

Hi all Just wondering if anyone has been susessful with the new upgrade through the Glasgow office. Ours has been stuck there for over a month with no movement. Applied for the upgrade but have not heard back yet. Fly on the 26th of April

Hello, this has been my timeline with Glasgow so far: Passport printed 5:04pm on 26 April 2022 Application approved 2:57pm on 24 April 2022 Documents received 8:24am on 21 April 2022 Application received 10:05pm on 11 April 2022 Application submitted 10:05pm on 11 April 2022 I got lucky and skipped the processing stage.

Does anyone know if the email address for the glasgow upgrade team is: glasgowupgradeteam@hmpo.gov.uk Also, what time of day/night are new slots released for the fast-track service? #bitanxious!!!

Right now it should be made really clear that the passport being despatched is not the end of the race. TNT decided to move my delivery date forwards two days the evening before the day it was due to be delivered. This would have made me miss my flight. I raised a ticket on the 15th November telling them I could not wait until the 17th. I got a generic "There's nothing we can do as we're experience delays" email. I then called the automated helpline on 03456080630 which doesn't at first appear to let you speak to a human. However I got round this my saying a load of incoherent gibberish when it asked me for my consignment number. After 3 attempts it will then transfer you to an agent. 53 minutes later, I'm greeted my Stella at FedEx/TNT helpdesk. She was actually fantastic. I explained my situation and she got my passport escalated as critical and it was delivered today. Less than 24hrs after my call. It seems that TNT are having severe issues delivering passports right now so if you find your date getting pushed back, try the technique above and prepare to hold for a while. Good luck folks! I submitted a child renewal application last week. Identity has been verified and old passport sent off yesterday. Any recent updates for timelines?

@BeckyEB I sent my docs on Monday 9th May. They acknowledged receipt on 16th and I have just had an update today, the 18th to say application has been approved and passport being printed. This was for a renewal and a name change.

Went to Glasgow office today as I am 13 weeks from application and due to fly on Saturday. Got there at 6.30am and there were 7 people in front of me! Offices open at 8am and obviously take those with appointments up to the front first. Then as they get dealt with the general enquiries people are allowed in. I got in at 8.40ish. Very helpful guy who took me through what he would do to get the passport sorted for me to collect today. My application was in Belfast so he emailed them and marked it as urgent. He said that Belfast will call me back today with a time to go back up to Glasgow to collect the passport. Fingers crossed!!!

Child's First Passport Big thanks to; the Glasgow office for turning this round quicker than I thought and saving any increased stress No thanks to; the toddler that kept making deals for toys and sweets on the promise of sitting still in the photo shop, then at home, then reneging on those deals and having a total meltdown and not letting us take a picture after the first one got rejected.
