I've not even got to the started processing stage yet just says received I really hope this isn't the case as it'll be pushing it for me even at end of march! When I rang before applying they said it would be 4 weeks max but it isn't seeming like that now.

Adult Renewal` Application submitted 09th Feb Application received 09th Feb Documents sent via Royal Mail 10th Feb Documents delivered by Royal Mail 11th Feb Documents received by Passport office 17th Feb and that's the only update I've had since. Slightly stressful seeing others with similar timelines already receiving their passports but I guess it's just a waiting game. Hoping to have everything in next couple weeks as wanting to book a cheeky little trip.

Mine went straight from 'Document's received' to 'Application approved' if that is any help conz1234? So hopefully yours will be through processing soon! Docs received - 15th Feb Application Approved - 24th

Mine is really starting to stress me out. Last update I had was 16th February when it went to application is being processed. It's for my son's first passport. My daughter's first passport went from documents received to application approved, that took 6 days. I've asked to link my application to my son's, but my application was approved 27th January, so I'm worried if they remove my application from the system before linking the documents, then I will have to send my marriage certificate and that will take 2 weeks to upload on the system, then another couple weeks to probably approve. I need the passport in just over 5 weeks. Stressed isn't even the word

Just been on the phone to Passport number (0300 222 0000). The lady was very nice but couldn't tell me a lot! She made a note on my application that i had a travel date coming up, but couldn't say what the current situation was. If i dont here anything by Monday, i will have to reschedule my holiday! Totally my own fault, i should have renewed earlier, or paid extra for the fast track service!

I rang yesterday and spoke to a lovely lady who was really helpful and gave me reassurance that I will have the passport before April, and today I rang back due to another issue and today they couldn't tell me anything. Thankfully I have spoken to lots of helpful people over the past few weeks, but some people don't seem to know enough as others

Hey probably not on everyone’s top list but anyone tell me how long it took from passport arriving to supporting documents arriving back? I did a name change and I actually cannot fly til I get these back as my US greencard is in my old name Any info appreciated
jespop30
All my supporting documents arrived in a few days of receiving the passports
amyarella

Getting very stressed now!! I’m flying for work on 9th March. I have called everyday this week asking for this to be pushed on. The lady I spoke to on Friday has added a note to my application to say that it’s now urgent. Currently still waiting for examiner. Is there anything more I can do?!! Application history Application being processed 11:03am on 10 February 2022 Documents received 10:09am on 28 January 2022 Application received 8:41am on 21 January 2022 Application submitted 8:40am on 21 January 2022

Is it a first or renewal passport? My son's first passport is taking the longest, all overs were in my hand within 3 weeks
chelsea91
It’s a renewal. I’m contemplating booking a fast track and reporting my passport as lost
oldhammer
I wouldn’t recommend that, you’ll likely cause more problems!

Mine finally updated this afternoon and went from documents received straight to application approved does anyone know how long from the approved stage to the passport been sent out takes? Documents received was 17th February Application approved today (27th February)
amyarella
They will probably print it tomorrow Send it Tuesday (if they don’t send it tomorrow) Then you’ll get it Wednesday or Thursday My guess !
Liam5624
Yeah this is what I was thinking I was hoping it's just a straight away job or if people had been waiting a while after getting to this stage

Chelsea91 - you have a really similar timeline to me. Mine is an adult renewal as well at Bootle. Application submitted 7 Feb 2.04pm Application received 7 Feb 2.05pm Documents received 18 Feb 2.45pm Application being processed 21 Feb 9.31am I fly on the 11th March so I called today to find out what is happening. Apparently nothing and they can’t tell me how long it will take to process. They suggested as I’m flying next week I could try a lost passport in person appointment. But the only ones available in England are in Liverpool on Thursday. And it is just to far to drive and another £144. Any appointment after that and there is no guarantee it will come back in time. So I’m stuck and guess I just have to leave the family reunion up to fate!

I recently spoke with the Passport office to ask then if I can send them photocopies of my passport, instead of the actual thing - to with they said yes, providing I attach a cover letter explaining the reasons why. However, I am in the final stages of my application - when a family emergency abroad has arisen, which will mean I have to travel, but don't know exactly when I will be back. Is it possible to have my passport sent to an address outside of the UK or to the nearest diplomatic mission? Or they can only sent it to the address you put on the application

My douments were shown as received also on the 17th February. Hopefully it will update today, Supposed to travel 5th March!
jespop30
Has anyone received a callback? They are suppose to be calling me back, but it's been days

I had a call back scheduled in on the 18 and they called me back on the 24. My sons passport was stolen out the envelope (signed for and tracked) and arrived empty at the passport office so having to change his application from a renewal to a lost passport and it’s been a headache. I wouldn’t recommend.

Anyone done child's first passport lately? How is the application going? My son's has been processing since 16th, my application has been taken off the system so now I need to send my marriage certificate in, but can't do anything till they send an update. I need it in 5 weeks
oldhammer
Same as mine. Had a bit of a hiccup this morning though, my photo was no good! They messaged me at 9.45, by 10.45 I had one taken at a photo place, got the code and resubmitted. Approved an hour later. Just waiting for the message to say probed and sent. Need it here by Friday!

I applied for my newborn child. The timeline is: Passport printed and sent on 24.02.22 at 17:00 Application approved 23.02.22 Doc recieved on 14.02.22 Application submitted on 06.02.22 Countersinged etc on same day I am now waiting for the passport to arrive. I have not been contacted by TNT and cannot track the progress as my PEX number cannot be found on TNT website. So far the process has not been too bad. I am a bit worried about the delivery company TNT as i have read some terrible reviews about them.
