Jespop - when I phoned last wednesday, they hadn't even been assigned to an examiner. I'm going to phone again Friday and see if there's been any progress!

LKT1990 - I rang last Wednesday and they were still awaiting examination, when I rang on Monday, the lady told me it had gone into in examination on the Friday. I am very impatiently waiting for an update,feels like I am always checking my phone.

Had a notification (email/text) to say my old passport had been received on the 10th March. Today, I had another notification saying the exact same thing… anyone else get multiple notifications at the same stage? I worry my passport has been rescanned or sent somewhere else. My partners old passport was also received on the same day and has already been set to approved/printing. I really don’t understand their order of working

My application was approved on Sunday so was expecting it to have been printed and sent by today - but nothing so far - maybe the delays elsewhere are starting to impact printing and dispatch - must be down to post COVID demand I can only assume.

Can someone please help. My passport has finally been approved today but I’ve already paid for a fast track app in london tomorrow!! Could anyone advise how long it takes from application approved to delivery etc.. As I cannot get this hundred and forty pounds refunded I’m hoping a family member can use the app instead. Waited 5 weeks from sending the application and the HPMO team have given me so much mis communication which is why I payed again for the fast track but just my luck it’s approved the night before my appointment! I’m meant to be going away in eight days so I don’t know whether to still go to the fast track app tomorrow or wait out the delivery so desperately need advice

Harty- jeezo a full 6 days b4 you were able to track. I had one printed on Monday, so it may be next Monday b4 it's here. Also had another approved on Sat 12th, but still not been sent to printers. How long have folk normally waited from approved to print? From whatbI gathered it was usually a few days.

From what I can see from timings on the forum it's printed by the 3rd day after approval - which was today for me, but it's still on approved - so I can only assume the delays due to demand are starting to creep into printing and sending now - hopefully mine will print and send tomorrow now.

Approved on 9th, so one day before printing.

I need my passport by the 24th of March. Today (the 16th) I was told it was approved after a 5 week wait. I have an appointment for 11am tomorrow morning for a fast track. Could anyone please give me there recommendations on what to do. Or if anyone knows of similar experiences. I wondered if I could let a family member use the appointment instead but not sure if this is allowed - they only have my name and DOB when making the appointment. Just don’t know which option is best to ensure I have it ASAP.

Bgm00- I think you need your old passport for the fast track (I may be wrong) - your best bet may be just to wait for the passport to arrive - its been approved, don’t think it’s too long now. Not sure on your money :/ may be worth giving hm passport office a call and asking (if you Google the number pops up)

Just received notification of passport approved. Going away in two weeks and can cancel the hotel for full refund a week before - it’s getting tight! Application received/process - 20th February Documents sent - 24th February Documents tracked by Royal Mail as received - 25th February Documents received - 14th March Application approved - 17th March The passport is a name change to my married name. Have no idea how long to expect now between approval and printing …

Mine was approved on Friday 11th. Had message to say it had been sent on Monday 13th. Still awaiting tracking info.

To be honest you cannot gauge your experience against anyone else. Starting to believe it’s a lottery as there is certainly no process in place. Ours have been in processing over 2 weeks… it’s as if you get added to a pile and new ones are placed on top rather than the bottom of the pile. It’s actually infuriating- if this was a private company they wouldn’t get away with it!

I’ve just rang again. The lady said that because mine has been printed there is no way of cancelling that passport so I cannot attend the fast track. It’s disgusting that I’ve only just been told this after the amount of times I’ve called. So after paying that extra money to guarantee I can make my holiday there is nothing I can do. Has anyone got any suggestions for complaints procedure etc? I really don’t know what to do about my appointment today.. part of me thinks to go as I’ll probably hear a complete different story from them. It’s disgusting thst I was previously told all I would need to do is bring a withdrawal letter to my appointment - I was never warned what would happen if it was approved. Disgusting process.

Hey! Hope everyone is having a lovely morning (or as good as it can be given passport stresses) I had an update yesterday afternoon that I wanted to share with you all in case it's of any help! Hoping to hear feedback about the new photo soon. My photo was rejected because there was a little bit of hair covering my face (top of my forehead), so I went to the local post office and got a digital photo code using the Photo Booth. Fingers crossed this means they're looking at it! New photo received. 3:08pm on 16 March Photo rejected. 2:18pm on 16 March Application being processed 1:21pm on 1 March Documents received. 8:43am on 28 February Application received. 12:30pm on 13 February Application submitted. 12:29pm on 13 February Jellyj4 hope it arrives soon!!!!

So my partners new passport arrived today. Mine is still at the “documents received” stage and has been since 10th March. We both applied and sent our old passports on the same day, to the same passport office. I just don’t understand why there’s such a big difference? I’m waiting for a call back… was told within 24 hours but we will see lol
