So 25 days in total. Good luck everyone,
hope the process isn’t too painful.
Wow that was quick between printed and delivered jms, I waited a week!
@ jellyj4
They were making up for the time lost in "receiving" the documents...
@de76 - Mine was approved on Friday 18th too, just waiting on printing now!!
Have you had your documents back yet? (Old passport)
Hoping you all get good news soon!
And hope mine gets printed this year 🙄
@amy93 let’s hope so. I really hope I can get away. Praying 🙏. No I haven’t got my documents back as yet.
Been following this thread whilst waiting for an update on my application. From what I've seen there is absolutely no order in which they process applications, it seems luck of the draw. Was 3-4 week estimate when I applied.
I have no words to describe how they operate their call centre, call them 10 times asking the same question, you'll get 10 different answers.

I'm supposed to fly on Thursday morning.. F*ck you HMPO you bunch of incompetent, lying, useless pieces of mass.
chef0389 - couldn’t have put it better myself 👍
Chef0389 - 100% agree. Should be exciting times, instead I'm an anxious mess!!
Chef0389 one of my applications went into processing the day after yours (though my application went in on Feb 4) are you a lost passport rather than a renewal?
Cause if it is a lost passport it is much easier to get an emergency appointment so might be worth it in your case?
Apparently it's taking 2-3 days to be printed, and 5 days from being approved to being picked up by TNT. And apparently if applications are approved on a Friday or a weekend, they may take slightly longer to be printed. Everyone knows from this forum, how long it can take and if your lucky, it doesn't take that long at all.
Chef, totally agree with you the applications seem so random and the fate of some peoples holidays depends on when their application is taken out of the tombola for processing
I applied on the 6th feb where the timeline was shown as 3 weeks and almost 7 weeks later I’m still waiting for mine to be printed and I’m due to fly on the 28th
Mine was marked as processing on the 23rd feb and approved 19th March so hopefully yours is approved soon too
Hi all, after applying on 29th December for my daughter’s first child passport and countless phone calls to HMPO I finally just got the text today to say her application has been approved and gone to print. In your experience how long is it taking from approval to it arriving with you? We are due to travel next Saturday 2nd April so need it in the next 9 days!
Kerryd - and I thought my my son's first passport took ages. His was finally approved on Monday. I applied on the 8th January. Most people seem to have them printed between 4-6 days but occasionally you have ones that take longer. We fly on the 4th so desperately waiting for the next update.
Ahhhh, 1 of my child renewals (lost passport but already reported and ran out August last year) has been approved!! Just 1 more to go 🤞🤞🤞🤞

Fingers crossed for you jespop30! To be fair it took my friend who was confirming her identify 4 chasers and 9 days to do so so the delay was partially our end.
@jespop30 have they sent / printed yours yet?
Lkt1990 - fingers crossed for you. When do you travel again? Can't keep up with everyone.
Kerryd - hopefully yours goes to printed too. We should be getting excited not stressing over passports.
Amy93 - not yet, what about yours?
jespop3O - no not yet! :( It was my old one that Royal Mail had sent! Got that today but not the new one. It's still sat on approved.
Amy93 - that was really quick, I have heard of documents coming back the same day as the new passport arriving, but never before it's even printed. Hopefully you will have an update soon.
jespop3O - I know eh! It really is so strange their whole system. Looking at the comments, seems mostly others have gotten printing / received after a week tops (max 8 days) - so fingers crossed for us hun x
jespop30 and amy93 - smae here, approved on 18th and still waiting for it to be printed! Hope they print ours soon!
I got mine 11 days after approval (7 days after printed status).
tar_pham - was it 18th April or March? :) x
amy93 - 18th March :), April hasn't arrived yet ;)
