Passport was approved on 21st March, printed today, 28th March at 12:40. How long does it take to be registered onto DPD and to get the dispatch email? Could I expect a dispatch email tomorrow? Thanks

Any experience? passport applied for on 12th March Documents received 22nd March (16th tracker showed received) Phoned on 25th March - told that couple of minor queries on checking wrt photo but assigned an examiner to check/confirm The question I have is that I have no status update etc. for my application - am i in processing and they have not updated and it will be weeks or am I one of the ones where approval may take 5+ days as machine picked up slight photo issues. What I can't understand is if to examiner on Friday, why am I still only documents received on my tracker status - a second call suggested it might be quicker than 4-5 weeks because it has been assigned an examiner and is not waiting to go.... I am confused as to whether I am now in a very long queue and can kiss goodbye to holiday at the end of April or it might be sooner as examiner is assigned and why no status on my tracker? Thanks

jswan123 - you don't always get emails when TNT have it, but you may be able to track fairly soon, as most people who are approved and then printed on day 7, can track that evening.

jespop30 - they sorted themselves out or you still waiting? x

Amy93 - still waiting for tracking info, was approved last Monday and then printed on Wednesday, no idea how long it is going to take.

Argh! They need to hurry it up. I didn't get a text or anything, I just shoved the PEX number into the tnt tracking website and it came up :( fingers crossed xx

Amy93 - I keep checking tracking but nothing yet, to be honest mine was printed really quick where most people are waiting 7 days for the printed status, and then can track normally the same day. My son's was approved 7 days today, so hopefully soon.

Jespop30 - shouldn’t be long at all now. Xx

GPopp - I had a phone call from the Liverpool office on 25th February to confirm a detail about my application and was told it was processing and wouldn't be much longer. In the time since my passport has been sent to Peterborough and only marked as processing on 7th March and it is still processing 7.5 weeks later.

Still waiting for a printed notification here for our last 2 applications. 4 and 5 days since approval. Now into the 8th week since application. Wonder why they're taking a while to print all of a sudden? 3 weeks til we go. They need to get a move on!

I was told that because there are so many approved they are leaving them in system until TNT are picking up a batch at which point they are printed. Think it’s pick up and scanning by TNT is now the bottleneck. They would rather have them on system than 1000’s of actual passports lying about 🤷‍♀️

Amy94 - I have tracking information at last yay lol. Think it's 7 days from approval you seem to be able to track. Due for delivery tomorrow, so we will see. Hopefully won't need to take a day off from work now as working Wednesday and Thursday this week, so fingers crossed it arrives tomorrow.
GPopp
That is worrying and meanwhile can't seem to get it back quickly to go fast route - they are a mess
jespop30
ADgrams - that's strange as my sons was approved last Monday and printed Wednesday, and only been able to track this past hour.

Jespop30 - the whole process is just strange. We have just cancelled our holiday and requested passport back to go Fasttrack .. glad your journey is nearly done 😎

@Jespop, was your sons application sent to Liverpool? And was it a new application or a renewal? I wonder if they go into different processing production lines or something?

My timeline to give others an idea as found this really useful (mine was adult renewal but surname changed to married name) TNT tracking shows delivery due 30th March Passport printed 5:44am on 23 March 2022 Application approved 3:33pm on 18 March 2022 Documents received 1:45pm on 16 March 2022 Documents delivered by RM tracking 1st March Application received 11:32am on 27 February 2022 Application submitted 11:32am on 27 February 2022

Sjb1980 - yes his application went to Liverpool and it was a first application. I've applied for another 4 passports at the time I applied for his, and they all came back within 3 weeks, that was 1 adult renewal, 2 child's renewals and 1 child first. His one has been over 11 weeks now, I haven't seen any take as long as his. My renewal went to Liverpool and from them recieving documents it was approved within 8 days would have been quicker but I had to resubmit a photo.

Hope this helps people, here was my timeline for renewal of a child's passport: Passport printed 2:13pm on 16 March 2022 Application approved 12:06am on 15 March 2022 Documents received 1:22pm on 10 March 2022 Application received 10:13am on 17 February 2022 Identity details received 10:13am on 17 February 2022 Email sent to person confirming your identity 7:27pm on 16 February 2022 Ask someone to confirm your identity 1:55pm on 13 February 2022 Application submitted 1:55pm on 13 February 2022 The only thing I'd want to add is that it took a week from "Passport printed" to me actually receiving the passport.

My son's passport is out for delivery, so fingers crossed it arrives today.

Jespop30 - That’s great news. I finally got told by one of the agents yesterday that there is no chance of my daughter’s passport being here in time for our holiday on Saturday despite being approved on 23rd and us applying all the way back on 29th Dec. Now waiting on hold to our holiday provider to reschedule to the next school holidays in August :( I hope everyone else’s arrive in time for your travels :)
amirun87
Kerryd: that’s ridiculous. Why? Could you not pick up from TNT?
kerryd
amirun87 - I could if it had been printed yet but as of 9am this morning they told me it still hadn’t been printed yet (7 days after being approved). The most frustrating thing is no one can tell me why it hasn’t been printed. The process (or lack of) is such a shambles
amirun87
Kerryd: it’s been way over 10weeks according to their policy you can make a claim. I know it’s not ideal but call them up (I know hard to get through) and say you want to claim the loss of holiday.
