First time using online application and very smooth and straightforward. My dates also included a Saturday and Sunday . Couldn't believe speed

My passport was damaged sent it back and recieved it 19/0826 was 10 days from when docs recieved on the 7/826. I have a holiday booked so was worried wouldn’t be here in time but it is my application was also in a queue to be examined by and examiner due to being damaged and was picked up by one in just 10 days happy with how quick it was processed to receiving it Application submitted 02/08/26 Docs received 07/08/26 Application approved 17/08/26 Passport recieved 19/08/26

No delays at all, photo taken by myself at a high quality.

Almost alarmed by the efficiency of this. The last two times I've had to renew, I went to London to do same-day. I was going to do that this year until I saw the prices have gone through the roof for that service; decided to risk postal (after many years reading terrible things about the service) and am gobsmacked. Applied on Monday, passport in hand on Friday of the same week. Now just need to wait for the return of my old passport and hope there are no issues there.
