Hi Lianne,
Thank you very much, We will call that number tomorrow.
Thanks for that number I will call them tomorrow on I am in doc received so hopefully by 24 October or so I will hear some news I love this forum
What’s been the average time from 'old passport received’ stage?
What date did you go into Doc received? We have been like that since 5 October…
Hi,
My sons renewal
Application Submitted- 25th September
Application Received- 25th September
Doc received- 2nd October
Hello,
We travel on the 1st November and are currently waiting for my husbands renewal to come back. This is the stage we are currently at...
Documents received 3:21pm on 28 September 2021
Application received 11:37am on 18 September 2021
Application submitted 11:36am on 18 September 2021
From looking at everyone's timelines, we are hoping it will be back within the next week. He has called and asked if the travel date can be put onto the notes, but the woman on the phone said that she can't do that and wouldn't make a difference 🤦🏼♀️ We didn't realise that the wait time is up to 10 weeks as when we googled passport renewal, it just took us straight to the renewal page and didn't state any wait times 🤦🏼♀️
His boss' wives passport came back the day they were travelling (Friday 15th October) but luckily they were travelling a bit later on in the day where as we are travelling at 6am on the 1st 😬 I feel like this is cutting it a bit fine... Fingers crossed it's back on time 🤞🏼
Hi, I have applied for 2 x child passport renewals from France. We travel on Sun 24th 🙈 the application are still processing. After endless hours waiting in a phone queue, requests for callbacks which haven’t happened, I finally had a twitter reply to tell me that they can’t provide any other information 😭

Scarlett66....I think you might be cutting it very fine......it has been around 21 days from docs received.....then you have to get them sent out which takes a couple of days....sorry....definitely call the number people put on here....before it gets deleted! Definitely helps...good luck
UPDATE
Passport has been approved and is being printed within the last few minutes! No in between stage of 'being processed' 🎉🎉🎉
That’s brilliant news, you are giving me hope we will get ours in time 🤞
That’s great news ☺️
THanks Caroline2000
Unfortunately the number seems to have been deleted. Would anyone be kind enough to repost it, please.
Yes, I know I have cut it fine. I work in ITU over here, and was waiting to see how the Covid situation would be before rebooking our previously cancelled(by Easyjet flights) We’ve had so many cancelled flights and haven’t been able to get back for so long. The annoying thing is that passports were still in date, but not enough time left with regards to post Brexit travelling 😕
These are the numbers my husband used and was put straight on hold without the automated messages..
01633 285422 / 0300 123 1973
Other half's passport has just been printed and due to be sent today. Application Summited 18 SEP and documents received 28 SEP. Around 20 days which someone has said on here before. Did call numerous times however and yesterday someone put a note on her file to say when her departure date was. Not sure if coincidence or did actually help that no more than 24 hours later has been approved and posted.
Number used to speak to someone was 01633 285422. Maybe around 20 minute wait.
For our child’s renewal:
Applied 15 September
Documents received 25 sept
Approved 15 October (bang on 20 days)
Received in the post 18 October.
Sibling’s documents were received at Liverpool 24th and that one is awaiting the examiner still.
Hi there, I hope you don’t mind me asking what supporting documents did you send? I only sent my daughters old passport that’s all. I hope nothing else is needed!
Depends on what sort of application it is. My husbands renewal, only the old passport was needed. For my sons first child passport, birth certificate was needed and someone needed to confirm his identity. When I had to change my name on my passport, my marriage certificate was needed.
Hi,just the old passport for our sons renewal. Our 20 days will be Friday from documents received so hoping it’s the case for us.. I will update on here
Same here.
10 year olds Daughters renewal. Had the email link for someone to verify identity which they did the same day. Then sent old passport to Durham.
That was registered on their site as being received on 5 Oct. Though actually they had it on 29 Sep.
Monday will be 20 days on from 5 Oct. Next week is half term so I’m hoping by start of November the passport will be ready.
They updated the site yesterday to still say it takes six weeks.

.
Online adult renewal here. I sent my old passport recorded delivery 22 Sep, but my documents weren't showing as received until 29/9 and my application status wasn't updated to 'processing' until 1 Oct.
Called the number member Liane888 provided (thank you by the way) but the lady could only say 'up to 10 weeks' and didn't even offer to put a note on my file.
I have a new job in the civil service and need to prove my identity for the pre employment checks. Start date is mid November so I'm getting very worried now.
Hope everyone else's arrives quickly!
We had no verify stage, only application submitted, application received then document received.
JMI101,
Usually this means you’re in a digital queue.....when you get the update ‘application being processed’ it’s in a normal, standard queue.
We were told it’s quicker when you’re in the digital queue....not sure how true this is though......
Update on my sons renewal. Today it has changed to application approved, as mentioned in earlier correspondence that is 20 days from documents received. I think the next stage is they send it out so maybe within the week. Others have been only days from this stage.
JMI101 - Woohoo - ours got approved on a Friday and ours were delivered on the Monday!
