Sons Child Renewal Thurs 22nd April- Documents received RM tracking Weds 4th May - Documents received Passport office Friday 6th May - photo & countersigner rejected and resent Saturday 7th May - approved and sent to print 3 days from receiving to printing! Super fast Now to hope my daughters first passport speeds up a bit (still stuck on documents received - they were received same day as my sons renewal)

Still waiting on my sons first passport and it’s been 6 weeks since we applied. We fly in 4 weeks so I’m starting to panic 😫 I managed to finally speak to someone yesterday who confirmed it’s still with the examiners. Application history Status Date Passport printed 11:45am on 8 May 2022 Application approved 7:49am on 6 May 2022 Documents received 11:33am on 4 May 2022 Application received 6:01pm on 20 April 2022 Application submitted 6:01pm on 20 April 2022 Your new passport will be transferred to our delivery supplier in the next few days. When it’s ready for delivery, they will contact you with a tracking reference. Your old passport will arrive separately and could take up to 2 weeks to arrive. It won’t be in the same envelope as your new passport. Just hope the delivery suppliers are quick with delivery.

We have a first application that was submitted on 20th February, that is now over 11 weeks! We fly on Saturday! After a massive amount of being on hold (more than 16 hours in total) and submitting many emails to various people we have been told that we will have the passport on Wednesday! Fingers crossed! My only advise is that anyone who is approaching the 10 weeks for a first passport start chasing early and don't accept the constant fobbing off that you will get!! If you get to talk to someone be aware they are clueless and powerless!

Child renewal - Liverpool passport office Posted Special Delivery on 3 May. Current tracking is still "Your Item was received by Warrington MC on 04-05-2022 and is now due for delivery today." Looking at the posts here sounds like it will take a couple of weeks for the Royal Mail tracking to update! Will RM tracking ever update? Or will the passport office just let me know when old passport received? @cymraeg - mine never updated for Liverpool. Just said the same thing. Based on messages here...it seems to sit in the postroom for about 2 weeks (9 working days including the day they got it and acknowledged it) - you might get something back Friday this week/early next week. Fingers crossed.

We did a standard renewal on line for our 2 adult passports on 22/4/2022, with a pre validated photograph from a photoshop in town. Mine was sent to Bootle & my wife's sent to Durham. Basically mine took 8 days to arrive, my wife's 20 days An OK service considering. It takes a week or more for the passport office to officially acknowledge "receipt" (this "OFFICIALLY RECEIVED" date is actually the start of the 10 week count) even though the old passport arrived in their mail room.

Hi all. I was abit nervous when I was told about the 10 week turnaround time as we had already booked our holiday and I applied 5 weeks before we fly out. After reading posts on this forum I did see hope and thought it will come in time. There was a delay with the passport being shown as officially received (two weeks from when it was actually signed for). After that everything went fine.
