Hi,
I've booked a cruise and realised my passport needed to be renewed. There were no fast track so I went with standard and sent it to Bootle.
Application being processed 1:49pm on 7 June 2022
Documents received 9:02am on 2 June 2022
Application received 8:32pm on 17 May 2022

I travel on the 25th, after a phonecall and Web chat they've added a note on the system. to state my travel date.
I've been told I can't upgrade to fast track as it hasn't been 6 weeks.
I feel like I'm completely out of options now and will do anything to get my passport in time.
Do I have any options at all?

You’ll need to go to your local passport office 48 hours before travel. You might have to pay a fee but as long as your application is correct and no additional documents are required they should be able to sort you out.
I've seen people do that but do you think I'll still be able to even though my application would've been less than 6 weeks old?
My passport is currently in Bootle but my closest office would be Newport. Would that be okay?
