I have two passport applications outstanding (1st child and child renewal) we are currently at 7 weeks waiting and travel in 3 weeks. My local passport office is 4 hours away so I need to plan ahead to get there etc. I have called HMPO and have been told to wait until 2 weeks then apply for upgrade. What would happen if I just turned up at passport office 2 weeks before travel? Would I be seen? I’ve tried getting my MP to help fast track but hasn’t helped as of yet. Any tips greatly appreciated

I very much doubt you would be seen 2 weeks before. Typically people are only being seen 48 hours before their flight. What status are your applications at?
They are at “waiting evaluation” and have sat at that stage since 3rd may
