Cancel application, report passport & go fast track.

Has anyone successfully cancelled their application for a renewal, taken a letter to fact track appointment and declared their old passport as lost? Submitted my application on the 3rd March. Sent documents and not received updates since. Called yesterday and told my application has been transferred to another office. Fly 4th of May and getting anxious 😥
