Child renewal - no passport to send

Ordered a renewal last year sent old passport I was lost. I have reapplied for a renewal as traveling on the 15th of June. I know it it's been left late. I am concerned however that these take longer. I did online filled out and inputted the old passport number as had a photo saved.
