Hello there! I wondered if someone could help. We are applying for our kids' first passports ( in a rush now like everyone else) but my own passport has been sent off for renewal. Does a child's first passport application require both parents' passports to be sent off? Or both parents' birth certificates? And if it was my birth certificate would it matter if it was my maiden name? Thanks so much in advance to anyone who's recently been through this process!!

Hiya we applied for our 2 girls first passports and just needed to send off their full birth certificates (the long one with parents names on, also known as certified copy of entry or something along those lines).
I recently applied for my child's first passport (still waiting).
Only had to send his birth certificate, however we got married after he was born. So it is my maiden name on his birth certificate, so I've had to send my marriage certificate, which is what has caused the delay
