emergency passport application

Hi i phoned on wednesday this week, and had a call back friday; my flight was booked for friday. i sent all supporting evidence in 20 mins. im selling a house and need to sign at the Notaire in frnace. i cant find my old passport as i havnt used it in months. the communication from HMPO is zero !! i was told id get a call back in 4 hours - but nothing yet... i cant believe that a government office is so inefficient you cant email or talk to the EPR team. they dont even send an automated email to say they have recieved yours....i will loose thousands if i dont hear today, so i can book a flight tomorrow. thanks HMPO !!!!
