First Adult Passport

I submitted a first adult application for my daughter. Strangely during the application process it did not ask me for contact details of individuals to confirm her identity. When I am looking on the website, that seems standard- people are usually requested to confirm identity during the first day or so. I called the passport office and the guy I spoke to said they will write to me, but they haven’t so far- even though it’s only been 2 working days. I just don’t want to delay the renewal as we are travelling with a group of 10 people and delaying it means holding them up too 🙈 Can anyone please share their experiences and advise accordingly?
