Hi,
I have been asked to provide my birth certificate for my child’s first passport application. This was received at Bootle on 27th of May (according to Royal Mail). How much longer should I expect to wait until the application is reviewed again? We are going on holiday at the end of June. We originally applied in April so it has already been 5-6 weeks.

Same here I applied early April for a renewal and been waiting for identity details to be confirmed for over a month, now telling me they have failed so had to send again today.// it’s all such a mess I’m due to upgrade on Thursday as it will be 14 days before we go away 23rd June
Have you heard of the upgrade service ?
Yes, but I was hoping not to have to explore that option as I’ve seen some people report that it hasn’t been very reliable.
