How difficult is it in general to get a Online Premium service appointment?

Hi, With the upcoming summer holidays and the news of the strikes it is likely to be close to impossible to get an appointment for the Online Premium service (where you get your new passport on the same day as the appointment). Does anyone know is it generally easy to get these appointments out of peak season (after summer - say in October, November, December) when a strike is not occurring? Thanks!
