We applied in march, did it online then had to do the paper application causing a months delay. they finally show it as received and processing on April 22nd. But I’ve seen people saying they were contacted and asked to send the child’s birth certificate. I wasn’t asked for this when we applied online or when we did the paper version.
Now I’m even more worried. After all the scare stories I’m considering cancelling the holiday at end of July to not lose all the £1000

Is a birth certificate refer for child renewals?

We’ve applied for our child’s renewal using the online/digital service at Post Office and they didn’t ask for anything other than the old passports. My daughter turns 16 today so her renewal is now for an adults passport so I’m hoping there’s no hiccups with that 🤞🏼
