I applied 12th July 21, received documents on 16th July 21. Processing since 30th July 21.. It's going back to my madien name. What ate the chances of me getting a holiday by 6th September? Starting to panic

Applied on 6th for online adult renewal. Old passport was received on 11th and no update from there. I’m really stressing as my daughter is 11 and may need to travel to Germany to film next month. Her agent can arrange a chaperone but we’ve never been apart and certainly never been away in different countries from each other. Crossing everything that it comes back really soon. Ideally some update by Weds next week.

Hi, I sent my application and old passport off on the 3rd July, old passport was received and scanned on 6th July but I still haven't heard anything.. My passport is just a renewal and seemed pretty straightforward But now I am panicking as I am meant to be going away on the 8th September.

Seen some from 5th being approved today but not sure they’ve been at Bootle. Still hope though.

Hi all, we had a simple child renewal which took 22 days. Application submitted 28 July, Docs received 2 Aug, it went straight to approved (no Processing stage) on 17th Aug, passport received on 19th Aug by TNT (we paid the extra £5 for recorded delivery). Nothing was happening by day 16 so I went on Twitter and wrote a general post and a DM, and I think that worked/helped as we were approved the next day. So definitely do that, and allow an extra 5 or 6 days to the average shown of 16.8 days overall. Cheers

We applied for a passport renewal for my 16 year old son: Application submitted 8:54pm on 4 August 2021 Application received 8:55pm on 4 August 2021 Documents received 10:50 on 6 August 2021 (According to Post Office) Documents received 2:01pm on 9 August 2021 (According to passport office) No update since. We called up around week ago to try to accelerate but don't think it has any impact at all. More news as it happens....

Adult renewal, no changes. I'm not gonna lie, I am panicking a bit. Anyone offer any comfort that they will be here before Wed 1st Sept? Same boat as some above. Simple child's renewal application went in on Aug 4th. Documents sent next day. Due to fly this Sunday and as the hours go by the hope fades. Frustrating as the suggested 16days has been long gone.

For those waiting on Liverpool office, I Applied Adult renewal 4th August passport sent to Bootle, next day royal mail delivered, the passport office acknowledge on the 6th then nothing until yesterday 24th when I got moved to processing then print and sent, nothing from TNT tracking not showing anything but new passport has been just delivered by a lovely TNT driver so start to finish 21 days.

Just in case this is useful to anyone who is worried about passports taking too long for holidays etc, here's mine (adult renewal with name change post marriage) Application submitted online 1.36pm on 4 Aug 2021 Application received 1.37pm on 4 Aug 2021 Documents posted (first class, signed for) 5 Aug Documents marked signed for by post office 6 Aug Documents received 3.31pm 9 Aug Then heard nothing for two weeks Application approved 2.14pm 25 Aug

I applied for my passport (adult renewal) online the evening of 2nd August and received it yesterday. Full timeline is below in case it's useful to anyone... Application submitted 6:42pm 2 August 2021 Application received 6:43pm 2 August 2021 Documents received 10:32am 6 August 2021 Application approved 12:18pm 23 August 2021 Passport printed and sent 7:53pm 23 August 2021 Delivered by TNT around 8:30am 25 August 2021 So from submittal (if counting 2 August as day 1) to delivery 24 days.

Child renewal: Application submitted 12:11pm on 29 July 2021 Documents received 10:33am on 11 August 2021 Photo rejected 8:05am on 27 August 2021 New photo received 9:24am on 27 August 2021 Application approved 11:08am on 27 August 2021 Passport printed and sent 1:34pm on 27 August 2021 TNT due to deliver on 30th August 2021 I also applied for a First Child Passport, below, sent documents same day as above but they received it the following day. Application received 7:34pm on 1 August 2021 Documents received 8:26am on 12 August 2021 Application approved 1:48pm on 28 August 2021 So assume delivery will be 31st.

Had mine approved this morning. Application received 6th Aug, Documents received 11th August, approved 28th August.

Just under 4 weeks for the whole process and there were no complications and we treied calling to escalate.

Hello! Has anyone received a standard renewal faster than what seems to be the 21 day current average through an application at Bootle? Aiming to travel on September the 11th, application submitted on the 22nd August. Just looking for a glimmer of hope! Do you think passport application numbers may have decreased bow children are returning to school? Thank you!

My husband and I submitted renewals on the 15th Aug. His went to Bottle approved today. Mine went to Peterborough no need meant to travel 13th Sept

@anxious2021 Applied online on 15 August (Sunday). Notified that old passport received on 18 th. This morning ( 7 Sept) notified it has been approved so, going on what others have said, should received in a couple of days.

hi I applied on the 16th August for child's renewal,docements received on the 20th August, nothing until today 9th September application approved I will post when passport has been sent hope this helps.

After booking a holiday for my family and I (for Sep 27th) I realised that our passports were missing. My wife and I submitted for new passports over 2 weeks ago now and it has been processing since 31st August. What can you advise please? hi I applied online for child renewal 16th August docements received 20th August nothing then until the 8th off September it was approved then posted out same day and received on the 9th off September it's fairly fast once its been approved and I had sent it too bootle passport office liverpool roughly 19/20 days

maybe phone them and give ur dates off travel I done that maybe that will rush it a bit
