Marriage certificate for child's first passport

Hello, Has anyone else had to submit this and can shed some light on when they eventually got the passport? All very frustrating that this was not requested along with the birth certificate! Thanks

Apparently the marriage certificate is only required if you send the short version of the birth certificate, although I sent off the full certificates only to find out they had been logged on the system as short versions - they haven’t requested the marriage certificate so I’m hoping this isn’t the cause of delay for our children’s passports - almost at 8 weeks and have only got to ‘documents received’ stage.
