Middle Names

So after waiting since 8th March for a callback, says 72 hours and took 10 days, we bloody missed it as my partner was in a meeting! :( but I complained over email and got a response on that, they said my sons passport has been on hold due to his dads middle name being on our sons birth certificate but his dad hasn’t got his middle name on his passport! FFS really?!! So waiting on a response on what they want us to do in regards to this, has anyone else had the same?
