Has you passport taken much longer to arrive than the average time shown? Was there an individual circumstance or other reason that took additional processing time?

How long are the application processing times as my application went into the que on the 7th and still havent heard back yet
My application also went into queue on the 7th and I'm still waiting on an update, good to know I'm not alone!
Hopefully not long now until we hear back
Hopefully mate I'm due to go on holiday the 4th October dont know if im over panicking
Could you let me know in here when you hear back please and I'll do the same if I hear back first
Hey again, I've just received text to say it's been approved! Fingers crossed yours isn't far behind
Oh that's good news for you I'm actually getting worried to be honest now was yours a first adult or renewal as mine is a first adult
It was a renewal, I think first adults might take slightly longer? Sure you'll get it soon though!
I am waiting on a renewel passport living abroad. They said up to 4 weeks. The form has been there 2 weeks and passport over a week, nothing yet from them other than still in the queue. truly this is ridiculous. I travel for my job so I really need a decent turnaround time, I chatted with them on line, you can not fast track overseas renewels - crazy. It used to be you could get a renewel passport in overseas cities and that took about 48 hours. That has stopped so everything has turned to mush.
Still nothing do they process apllications on the weekends too surely I should have heard back by now
Mine went into queue on 1st August and still there! Nearly three weeks and nothing heard :(
Hi, I'm wondering if it took you all much longer to get your passports back? My passport, along with my husband and daughter's took 18 days to even get into the processing queue. This was with applying online and sending in all required documents by special delivery. Just beginning day 22 and day 4 of processing. It just seems so unfair when some get their applications back in less than a week and here we are with 3 straightforward applications, and its taking forever!
Day 25 and our applications have finally been approved! Just to wait for them to be dispatched and arrive now.
214 days and counting for a standard child renewal. I call them every week. No updates. I complain, they tell me everything is in accordance with policy and procedures.
Today 11 August 2020 I've reached 45 days since my adult renewal application received at Durham PP office on 28 June. Current process advice says Gone for Printing yesterday so I guess it will be at least another week before I finally receive my new Passport? = 54 days start to finish! When I post the final timeline it will make a hole in the crowd sourced average of 19.7 days?
My first adult (overseas) passport application has been in place since July 7th.
Phew! New Passport finally delivered today 14 August by DHL to my home in France after 49 days.
63 days and counting since I submitted my application.
Travel in 14 days.
Have had to call the passport office today... awaiting a call of some sort? Praying I get my passport sorted this week.
Day 30 Now (first British passport) waiting for a call back to organize an online interview.
Application submitted online 2/8/21, last update 4/8/21 "Old passport received" nothing since. Anybody got any clues?
@jonnyboyh24 I submitted mine about a week before yours (28/07/21) - it's been approved and printed (on the same day) and is due to be delivered on 20/08/2021 according to the TNT tracking website. It went to the Peterborough office.
Adult renewal:
Passport printed and sent 1:33pm on 18 August 2021
Application approved 9:47am on 18 August 2021
Documents received 9:51am on 3 August 2021
Application received 11:06pm on 28 July 2021
Application submitted 11:05pm on 28 July 2021
I called on 13/08/2021 to say that I was looking to travel on 28th of Aug, but hadn't booked anything in case the passport wasn't delivered on time. The, very helpful, operator said as it was an adult renewal, there's no reason why it should take longer than three weeks. He said he'd add a note to say I am looking to travel, in case that would help speed things up (so not sure if it was a coincidence, or if it would've been the same timeline...).
So judging by my timeline, I guess it's just under 3 weeks from 'documents received' to delivery... IF it arrives on the 20th. Will try to keep you posted.
Best of luck with yours - maybe try giving them a call if you need it soon... you'll be on wait for a while though.
Take care,
S :)
Thanks safes. Fingers crossed. If I don't hear anything back by Monday I'll give them a ring.
Hope you receive yours on the 20th.
J
my old passport was received/ scanned on the 6th July 2021 at Liverpool but I am yet to hear anything at all. I was hoping to go away on the 8th September but I am now thinking this is unlikely :( any one have a similar time frame to myself?
It arrived on the 20th :)
alice1995, you should definitely give the passport office a call to see what the hold-up is. You can mention you are hoping to travel soon and need the passport ASAP. They added a note to my application to escalate. I understand different passport offices have different wait times but hopefully you get yours soon!
Hi saffs
Mine arrived on the 23rd. Thank you for your replies, it really helped.
Thanks
Jon
Brill, hope you manage to get away somewhere soon! :)
