We've got to travel on the 18th May for a wedding in Greece. We've had to wait for our baby to be born before we could apply for her passport... we started the application on 16th April, sent the documents on the 25th. Chances of us getting the passport in time...? We have 18 days until we're meant to be flying.. stressed is a complete understatement

Anyone applied for child first passport recently? If so what is your timeline? We travel 2 weeks today for a wedding and I'm in desperate need of my daughters passport but they still haven't updated her birth certificate onto the system so they're saying there is nothing they can do until that happens.

I applied for my daughters first passport and sat like this since 22nd, I am worried that this has gone on to the other system that people are talking about. Becky B That's promising with receiving your documents within 10 days of the application. I sent my application on the 16th so I'm hoping they update with my documents soon! Are you travelling anytime soon because you can get an upgrade now your documents have been processed on the system. I'm still waiting for them to be received and updated on to the system annoyingly.

Luckily I still have some time as we fly next month but I am very impatient and reading some of these stories I am getting anxious about it, I couldn't bare to cancel this holiday that we have had to rearrange time and time again. It's our own fault really, it felt like we had all the time in the world to apply for it, until we didn't have as much time as we thought. I hope you get an update soon :-)

It's ever so frustrating isn't it......I cant stand the waiting and not knowing

So frustrating!! If we don't get it in time I need to make other arrangements so it's hard to know what to do right now. Can't pack or anything either 🤷‍♀️ I also got told last week by the passport office that Peterbrough is one of their busiest offices... I'm praying for a miracle right now and just hoping that something goes our way 🤞

Marand If you are within 2 weeks email the upgrade team with pex no and urgent. Attach flight documents Peterboroughupgradeteam@hmpo.gov.uk. saw this on this forum

@france22. Thank you for that, I will email by the end of the week when it will be 14 days before I travel and hope it works! as I already had to cancel the holiday in April, cant afford to do that again! Thanks

@Lleach. when are you flying? I've heard they contact people closest to the time they are flying first. That's why I was curious if it worked for anyone in here! Let us know if you hear anything back please :)

@Lleach Peterborough didn’t send me an automated reply or respond to any of my emails but they did call me yesterday and our flight is on the 12th.
