Anyone know how I can get them to process my documents quicker?? After the first birth certificate got lost just over 2 weeks ago I've now had to send another one which was signed for this morning. But after calling this morning they're saying it will be sat in the mail room for 10 days before being processed.. I fly next Wednesday morning!!! Help

Anyone got experience of getting a damaged passport replaced in Peterborough and how long it took? I'm 4 weeks waiting so far, and still not passed the documents received stage.

@Lleach that's great news! Yes I had confirmation this morning that the application has been approved, just waiting for an update that it is being printed.

Hi, I applied for an adult name change and child’s renewal on the 11th April,both Peterborough. I received my adult name change passport back very quickly on the 28th April but my child’s renewal has not been processed it says old passport received 27th April but nothing since, I’ve sent all documents off they are tracked and signed for but not yet showing as received!! Does anyone have any ideas on what I can do I have tried phoning but can’t get through.

Hello, I have received my new passport on 14 April, but so far I haven't received my supporting documents. I paid for secure delivery and no tracking number has been provided yet. I called them several times a waste of time as nobody can give me any updates and can't track where my supporting documents are. Anyone here with similar issue. How long dod take to arrive the supporting documents? I had to change twice my travel arrangements, so frustrating.

Hello! Has anyone been successful in getting a priority passport at Peterborough? I submitted my application on the 5th May and yet to have any status on my portal. Aware this could take up to 2 weeks, but just wondering if anyone can share experiences on what to do within the 2 weeks window of travel? I fly on 13th June so hoping I will get lucky and it arrive before then! Thanks :)

@fcarabetti. My son got his supporting documents exactly one month after getting his passport. We also paid for secure delivery, you get an email from Royal mail 2 days before it gets delivered saying that they have your HMPO package and you can track it. Hope this helps!

Child renewal (age 13 so no need for countersigning). Only thing that could have been better was that I sent the old passport by special delivery and this was signed for at 9am on Monday 25th April. The old passport wasn’t acknowledged as received until Monday 9th May (2 weeks). I received a generic text and email on Saturday 7th May saying please send your old passport, this started unnecessary panic that the old passport had gone missing. After it was acknowledged I was in receipt of the new passport within 5 days. @BeckyB thats brilliant news. I'm going to collect it on monday! @marand they called me today as the documents weren't scanned on clearly enough. So I've got to take another B/C to Peterborough on Monday and they will print the passport there and then!

@Lleach thats brilliant news! There is hope for me then! just a question which number they call you from? that way I can look out for that one and not answer the spam calls! Did you have to pay extra for that? Happy that you will be able to go on your holiday
