Post office check and send

I had to use the post office check and send service for my sons first adult passport which run out the beginning of March, due to not able to get an acceptable digital photo. At the time of application 26th March HMPO were quoting on their website 5 week waiting time, we had 11 weeks before we flew. I received a text on 28th March saying they had received my application and it was awaiting to be checked. I then received an email on 2nd April saying they had received my application on 31st March awaiting to be checked so contradictory to the text. I have received nothing since, even though I’ve tried ringing emailing and texting? Anyone else used the post office check and send service which is the more expensive service and if so what are your experiences? Thanks Neil..

Thanks amysue I have now tried emailing Mark. I also travel on the 10th. Good luck xgemmax82 hope your lucky fingers crossed for both of us…

No I’m going to the south of Spain- Costa de la Luz. Hopefully!! Should get my sons passport Wednesday! But until it’s in my hands- I won’t relax

Hi Both, Update… Just literally received a text to say my sons passport will be delivered in a couple of working days. Won’t get to excited until it arrives but it’s a promising sign…

Mine was the same Hank… got text Friday and then received 1 Monday and 1 Tuesday. TNT text me to let me know when it was being delivered. You can also go into TNT website- track. Application number and postcode and it might have an estimated date. I did that with my sons.xx

Nothing I’m sad to say I’m Going to try tomorrow for the upgrade as it will be two weeks to fly but thanks for asking x

Have you emailed Mark Thompson? It seems very coincidental both myself and amysue emailed him and had our passports within days…

My son emailed and said the truth, he’s had 2 very stressful years with his exams and going for a football scholarship and as a reward for all his success we had booked this holiday for him and if he doesn’t get his passport he’s the only one in the family who can’t go on holiday which was very depressing and stressing him more than the previous 2 years… All of which was true….I really do hope you get as lucky as us because we know exactly what your going through and it is not nice at all!!!

Email him again. I basically said my story. Applied 14th March, sat in processing since 22nd march. Said it was unfair people are getting theirs first etc. Was super polite and asked for helpZ Then the passport info so he could find it xx

Hi I have sent two emails and my np has written but nothing I’m in such a state two weeks today till our holiday and they have said I have to wait two days for a call back and upgrade isn’t guaranteed xx

I am still trying I’m now trying for the upgrade but so far no one is calling back and everytime I call they say someone will call u in 48 hours but I’m not hopeful anymore. Thanks for ur messages though and I do still have time I just don’t know what else to do. X
