STILL HAVEN'T RECEIVED IT!
This has been an absurd amount of time, it is the 21st of June as of when I'm writing this and I still haven't got anything back but the kind words of "we are still processing your application". When I first applied I made them aware of me needing to travel abroad on the 28th of June (1 Week away!!) and got told I would get my passport by April latest, its been over 6 months since I've applied and have called numerous times and all I gotten back is they cant do anything about it or that I'll get a callback which would eventually have nothing done about it. I was given the email to faster process my application on the 16th of June and told it would take 48 hours to get a reply back; of which I still haven't gotten back. I have lost all hope. I have no clue of what to do anymore.

Wow, this is brutal!!
I applied not too long ago and they confirmed the reception of my documents on the 1st of June. It looks unlikely I will get a smooth process by the looks of it :(
WOW, I’m so sorry, I have been waiting since the 2nd of May, absolutely nothing and I’m already stressing.
You say it's a first passport application - so you'll need an interview - have they contacted you for interview and you've missed the communication? Email not received (or in spam) or letter not received? It's the only thing I can think of that will bring an application to a halt like this (unless of course it's simply been mislaid) - clearly you need to contact them as a matter of urgency here
This is my first application yes, and I haven't even been put forward to the interview process yet, all I've been told for the past 10 times I called is that they are still processing my application regardless of how urgent it is; all they say about that is that they cant do anything and that I just need to be patient.
Not all first passports have interviews - I know someone who went through process in January and did not have interview, passport application process only took about 4 weeks grr. That was a person here in Australia though, possibly they don't do interviews for overseas applicants.
So after a 3 hour call I finally got down to the management and they basically said that my examiner just hasn't bothered to input my documents into the system yet and that some examiners are like that and would leave it till its convenient for them. I now have to chase up my examiner to go and do it so I can travel in 6 days.
