Applied 3 weeks ago, just had notification my application has been approved. so the passport should be printed and dispatched in the next few days.
However, we have had a family bereavement 2 weeks ago, and we are going to be away for the funeral for a few days next week.
Any idea what the process is if they can't deliver? - I assume it needs to be signed for?

What happens if you are not in when they deliver?

It doesn't need signing for. As long as you have a letterbox they will just post it through the front door. Then it should be fine. Its if u live in a block of flats with communal hallways that's when problems occur.
Ours have been posted through the letterbox 😊
