Withdrawal at fast track

I did a fast track on Monday 4th April , was told the original application could take up to 48h to be withdrawn. I called yesterday and it still hadn’t been and was told it was a ‘waiting game’ and I shouldn’t really have been allowed to withdraw an application at a fast track as the policy had changed. For anyone that’s withdrawn an application at a fast track appointment, did you get any form of notification that the original application had been withdrawn? Or did the online tracking for the original application change at all on the point of withdrawal?
