Online application completed 23/5. Entered digital code provided for photo.
Old passport sent (signed for) 24/5 and received by HMPO 25/5
New passport received 30/5 ie 5 days from receipt of old passport which is when processing of application starts
Old passport received back 31/5.
Overall excellent experience although applied much earlier than needed to due to .gov website stating to allow 10 weeks.

We had to send the documents twice. I’m the child’s Dad but it said that I didn’t have parental authority so my partner needed to send a letter in.
When I did this it didn’t update to say that the new docs had been received, but very quickly approved and printed. So all in all good.
