So simple to take photo with phone, complete online form, post old passport, then waited to hear stage by stage from the Passport Office the progress of my application.
Updates sent every couple of days by sms/email from succesful receipt of Application, old Passport received, Application approval, Passport printed, sent to courier, DHL advised hour slot of arrival. Amazing service!

Not had a passport for over 30 yrs sent of my birth certificate and my 1st passport took over a month before they contacted and asked for documents from between dob and 1st passport issue told them I didn’t have anything as it was over 30 years ago then had to constantly phone and email informing them each time of travel date every time told it was with the examiner one advice line operator escalated it and I got call from team leader but still nothing changed last email sent on 12 July over 10 weeks later and asked if I could have appointment to see someone as I fly on 18 th July received email on 13 asking for travel details sent them it was then printed and sent to courier on 13 arrived 14 th very stressful experience

The turnover time was incredibly fast. I was renewing from overseas (EU) and the passport was sent on 19 June. It took 11 days to reach the Passport Office – purely due to delays on the European end – but was then processed, printed and sent off to me within a couple of days. I don’t think I ever received my passport this quickly!

It seems that using a photo booth picture with online code and promptly sending off the old passport likely helps them process things faster.

My experience was really great . I applied from Kenya for my 3 British overseas kids .One application was renewal while the other 2 were first time application. It took 8 months but that was because of some missing document which I had to resend . I appreciate the team for their understanding even when I missed the Skype interviews and ha to reschedule. I’m so happy .
