My old passport was due to be delivered by Royal Mail via tracked 28 on 31/03. They never got there and according to Royal Mail customer service department they are deemed lost by Royal Mail. I eventually spoke to HMPO customer service department who advised that they had not had any delivery as of the 8/4, (I gave her tracking number) I was told that if my documents had not been received by 24/04 I should contact them again and my application would go forward without the document, after the customer service department had contacted the examiner and reported documents lost. Has anyone else been told this??? I’m wondering if it’s worth reporting the passport as lost and cancelling my original application and getting at fp as soon as the application is cancelled. I have 8 weeks till flights. anyone else had this situation? TIA
