Durham Passport Office Lost Renewal?

    I applied for a passport renewal and sent my old passport which was received 1st of April. 4 plus weeks later my documents have still not been scanned in. This is only a problem because I’m meant to fly on Sunday and wanted to potentially upgrade my application.

    Does any one have any experience with old passports being lost or not scanned in? I don’t know what to do as I’ve contacted them multiple times. They have but a ‘note’ on. There isn’t any way to contact Durham directly


    It was taking almost 4 weeks in March for them to mark as received at Durham. I think the problem is they have 100k passport divided in big bins for each day. I’ve no idea how they could even locate a passport to expedite it once you’ve sent it in. It’s most likely they have, but may take a while.
