Hi all,
Has anyone submitted a fast track and cancelled original online application? I have done this and had no notification for delivery and now has been a week. So called up and they can’t find my tracking number in the system at all!
Now super concerned old application is cancelled and my new one no where to be found 🙁
Anyone else fast track application been unable to track when calling up to query?
April 1, 2022 at 10:03 am #11409sk91ParticipantI called this morning about my Fast Track application and they told me customer service aren’t unable to track them properly. Apparently this shouldn’t concern me (???) it’s just because it is a guaranteed service and they probably don’t update the system as they go along!?
We’ve paid for a premium service but not for updates is what they’ve told me..Anyway my old passport application is still showing as ‘processing’ on the system and my new one I can’t track so we just have to sit and wait. I logged a request for a call from the progress team but this takes 72 hours (which takes me past the 7 day guaranteed service date..). The whole system is so flawed!! It seems it doesn’t matter which route you take it’s purely just a waiting game.
I would suggest trying your fast track reference number in the tnt track and trace system. Sorry I can’t be of any further help!
April 1, 2022 at 10:12 am #11410cjayParticipantThe same thing happened to me, only I discovered they didn’t process my fast track application but just kept my original application. When I pointed out in the strongest terms that I had paid for a premium service, they were completely nonchalant. 2 hours later my original application it got approved. Still waiting for it to be printed and sent.
Madsmead – is your original application still visible online?
April 1, 2022 at 10:24 am #11412sk91Participantcjay – That’s so bad!! I hope they compensate you somehow.. I think you can put in a compensation request for late fast tracks (not that it helps when you’re trying to go away!)
My partner did the same thing as me.. we took in letters of withdrawal to our Fast Track appointment on Monday. They emailed him yesterday saying can you confirm you wish to withdraw your normal application which and he emailed back to confirm (they obviously didn’t even look at his withdrawal letter!). However my normal application is still showing as processing online and I can’t get an update from passport office about my Fast Track!April 1, 2022 at 10:33 am #11413madsmeadsParticipantI’ve called and they said they now can’t see any applications for me and have requested me a call back from the processing team. By the time they call back I have no chance!
I think what has happened is my fast track didn’t get processed because they kept my original one. Then the Liverpool office has received my cancellation letter so cancelled it and now I have zero applications!

I would speak to the customer service management team ( different to progress team), I was a little rude which I do feel guilty about, but then it as a result of that I had movement on my case for the first time in 5 weeks
April 1, 2022 at 4:22 pm #11445cjayParticipantBoth times I contacted the customer service mgmt team I had to wait nearly 2 hours, but they seem to be able to answer more questions than the normal call handlers. You could also try the web chat at 08:01bin the morning or around this time

April 3, 2022 at 8:02 pm #11544hairandbeautyParticipantWe went for a FT app 9.30am on Saturday – took withdrawal letter for the processing passport, a lost reference number (as old passport was lost) and the usual form with 2 photos. Told it would be guaranteed before next Saturday, guy seemed pretty confident that it wouldn’t be anytime ofter that date. Hopefully it all goes well. Please update your progress!

April 4, 2022 at 10:05 am #11574sk91Participanthairandbeauty – we went Monday 28th at 9.00am.. they told us there was no backlog for FT’s and we’d definitely have it the same week but latest by today (04/04). I spoke to the progress team on Friday who said they were still working on it!! I’m not holding my breath that it will arrive today. We were supposed to fly yesterday and FT appointment was a last resort after holding out for our normal application which was submitted in February and is still showing as ‘processing’.

April 4, 2022 at 11:34 am #11588aimeejoy89ParticipantI’m helping my partner with his fast track application to replace a lost passport I just wanted clarification on what he needs to take, I can’t go with him due to work so I need to make sure hes prepared as much as possible…Organisation isn’t one of his strong points.
He has is withdrawal letter consisting of all original application details and the formal request to withdraw.
His completed application.
Photos (1) signed by a professional.I’ve asked him to print off the email he had when he cancelled his passport but that might not be possible.
Should these details be added to the withdrawal letter?We fly 18th April and his appointment is tomorrow 2 and half hours away in Peterborough.
Any help would be appreciated.

when he comes away from the appointment – he should be given a reference number – cherish that!
