Issue of Passport following Interview

I travel on Friday 1st July 2022. Will a passport be issued following the interview or will I need to wait for this to be sent or return to Passport Office to pick it up? Thanks

First passport? British citizen/national? These answers will help people answer you, though there’s little certainty to be had as sometimes people are asked for interviews, and other times not!

Hi yes it’s First Adult application and I’m a British National. I’ve been told today that I need an interview for application to proceed but when I phoned for interview appointment was told none available, to call back tomorrow or speak to Customer Management Team.
