I recently applied for passports for all 6 members of my family. 5 applications needed the photo verified, but they didn’t ask for my eldest child’s photo to be verified, just to send his old passport.
The 5 verified applications have now been approved and passports sent out.
However, I’ve now received a letter from the passport office, along with a passport application form stating that because my child’s appearance has changed, his photo will need to be countersigned (I could have told them this!). I’ve now had to get physical photos, have then verified and returned via next day signed for.
Basically, my question is has anyone else had this happen and, if so, how long will the process now take? Does he go to the start of the process again?! We’re waiting to book a holiday for October, but wanted to have all passports first!!
