This was unbelievably speedy and a real relief. I got email and text updates at every stage: acknowledging my digital application, reminder to post supporting documents (old passport), confirmation those documents had been received, notification that the new passport was being printed, notification of posting back to me and expected delivery date. And all this included the New Year’s Day bank holiday and possibly fewer staff at work after Xmas. Good work!

Passport was sent to the Corby Office (no option to select this). Passport was not deemed to have been seen at the the office until 6th January. Commenced document identification on the 9th and returned to me on the 11th Jan via TNT.
With bank holidays and weekends this amounted to 7 working days in total to get it back.
