May have been even faster had I not had to send additional documents (name change) during postal strikes. They received my documents on 25th October and it was approved the following Wednesday 2nd. Printed 3rd November and delivered 7am by courier on 4th November. Can’t really fault it but very surprised.

I reside abroad & so had to submit my old passport via ups international from the USA. Application/ payment/ digital photo uploaded to UK Abroad who charged a lot, but were reasonably helpful with shipping, labels, etc. They assign a consultant, so there is a consistent email contact.
