The process was overall pretty easy however I sent my passport through recorded delivery, it arrived on 27th April as per the tracking signature however it took them until 6th May to confirm they had it. They also asked for someone to verify the picture was me and the same request was asked again the following day. It didn’t say two people would be required to do it which was frustrating but I did receive my passport really quickly after the confirmation of the verification being accepted.

Stressful due to the wait times between docs being sent and acknowledged was 3 weeks. Also press coverage of 10 week process times made me panic, but once I had ID verified by 2nd person (1st one was declined) I received my passport days later. Slow start but quick recovery.

It took two weeks for them to acknowledge receipt of the old passport which in reality took 3 days to get there. Once they had acknowledged receipt on the Monday it arrived on the Saturday.
