I paid extra at the post office to have the passport sent to quicker – this was pointless as it wasn’t logged as received until 2 weeks later. I still have not received my old passport back in the post as of 20/06/22. My approval for a renewal took until the 7/6 and was printed 2 days later. I did not have to sign for it – it was just posted through my letterbox.

Awful experience. After 5 days waiting for the “urgent call back” I ended up having to leave my 1 year old at home with friends and family while me and the family went on holiday. Traumatic.

We had to send documents twice – old passport first, then birth certificate & marriage certificate. Both times it seemed to take about 14 days to open / act on the documents. Was very fast once the supplementary documents were reviewed.

Sent out two child renewals and only received one I’m still waiting.
I applied for 4 passports all to different address 1x adult renewal, 1 new child passport and 2 child renewal. This was on the 4th may, received 3 back and still waiting for one child renewal. Showing as documents received, it was showing as processing but has now gone back to documents received. Has anyone else had this?
I’ve had the same, my adult renewal is still waiting, applied 29th April, and went to processing 20th May, now that line has disappeared and it has gone back to identity confirmed. I have spoke to the passport office and they have said it has happened to a few but nothing concrete.
How can you see how applications are being processed? HELP
