Easy renewal process, just a shame about the delays between updates / acknowledgements. Texts / emails from HMPO don’t mention you can track your passport with TNT using your passport application reference and many people including myself don’t receive any tracking info at all.

Sent old passport by recorded delivery – took over 2 weeks from delivery for the Passport Office to acknowledge receipt and to update the online tracker, which was concerning.

I sent my daughters’ passport renewals and mine all on the same day but they all went to different offices. This one went to the Corby office and was the fastest. Mine went to Hemel Hempstead and has been approved and printed but not yet received, the other daughter’s went to Glasgow and was approved on Friday but not printed or received.

Applied online and had to send documents to Liverpool. Very impressed with turnaround. Did my other child passport application the same day, went to Peterborough and been sent for printing but not heard anything beyond that.

Took 13 calendar days from online application for the website to show that old passport had been received. Thought it had got lost. Thereafter, quite quick. Tracking system seems to have a delay as we received passport after 24 days but website tracker still says that it has not been dispatched. Also, was told we would be notified once it had been sent, but we were not. Ours was delivered with normal royal mail post, not TNT or signed for.

It took over a week for HMPO to register they had received the old passport. A week from being approved to printing and no notification was given about the tracking. Passport just left in the letterbox.
