Submitted application as a recently naturalised citizen. Used the paper form as I was concerned that my foreign passport and naturalisation certificate would take time to be matched up with application. I also used the Post Office checking service. I would not recommend using the paper form as there is no way to track the application other than using the phone number, on the government site, where I could never get through after numerous attempts, or the online email enquiry form, also on the government site, which took two weeks to reply. Finally got a reply today, the day my passport was received. Surely the government can do better than this.

took them 5 weeks to advise photos were rejected even though I had paid for check & send at Post Office. Sent new photos registered post to ensure received next day. We had a flight booked but they advised could only look at fast tracking once within 2 weeks of flight date. Phoned when this was with the 2 weeks and eventually got the passport week before we are due to fly. Cutting it fine, almost 10 weeks in total to receive it.
Went on advice of Post Office to send normal and not do fast track think in future would pay the extra to fast track instead of all the stress of waiting and the unknown if we were going to make the holiday.

It was very easy and straightforward, I sent off his old passport which expired in 2020 and there were no issues. Came very fast.
I had to post supporting documents to Glasgow for this one. I also applied for a first passport on the same day (supporting documents to Peterborough) and my application is still at “received” status. At the time of application it was a five week wait time, we are in week four now with no update.

There was almost a week between the original submission and me sending my son’s expired passport as he had it. I did tweet incl PEX because they asked for old passport that had already arrived. One they were matched it was pretty quick. Delivery was by DHL.:

To be honest thanks to a lot of press I found the lack of progress report outs and delay reporting receipt of my old passport quite stressful. In reality the process was actually very quick 15 days start to finish. I think the updates could be better more timely as the passport was recorded as received the next day but wasn’t received in there system for a further 7 days!!

Received in good time, although nerve racking as TNT tracking not working. I’d received notification from PO at 7:50 last Monday that TNT would deliver and notification from TNT 2 hours later that delivery not successful. Arranged redelivery for Fri 29th and arrived with courier that evening. Unable to speak to anyone or track was nail biting. Thankfully we will get our holiday next week!

So so relieved that my experiences is the complete opposite of what is being reported in the media.
My renewal was with Bootle office and although I knew my old passport had arrived there end as I had royal mail tracked confirmation, it did not show until some time after. New passport was delivered with DHL, only text received was on the morning on delivery. Delivery was 4 days after printing (including weekend and BH Monday!)

DHL are a shambles. 6 hours late for delivery window, which is an issue when you can’t go out as apparently a signature is needed. Finally delivered over 6 hours late with no sig obtained.

I got my sons passport out on the 11th of April to send the passport number to my travel agent to discover it was out of date.
I panicked and applied for a normal online application on the 11th of April and his old passport arrived in Peterborough by the 12th of April before 9am (signed for).
For me, it was a pretty straight forward process other than the picture part. I knew my sons picture would be rejected so had a professional one ready to upload. I uploaded the new one within 4 mins of receiving the notification to do so. I never heard anything back so rang the progress team to establish if there was anything wrong. They informed me the picture had been rejected again and the email had not reached me. They informed me they would put a note on my application and to call back the next day if I hadn’t heard anything. Within 10 mins of this call his application was approved and then printed a few days later.
I never uploaded another picture, and the second one was accepted so I am a bit confused. However, I do believe the note on the application sped it on.
I can confirm the passport was delivered this morning at 8.30am via TNT.
