Quick and easy, much faster than expected. It took a long time for them to recognise that they had received my passport (4 days) but as it says online this is a manual process.

Very good service, email information every step of the way from passport office, not so good from Royal mail tracking, never updated from the post office receiving letter.

Applying online was incredibly easy and smooth. You get ‘walked’ through the necessary actions at every stage, so it’s hard to get it wrong.
The process for veifying the application was very simple. Just a set of online questions that take maximum 10 minutes to complete via an online link sent directly to the person you nominate.
I was worried about whether the photo I took would ‘pass’, but it gives you an indication as soon as you submit it and mine was 95%.
All done in 8 days from completing the form to receiving the passport.

very stressful took nearly 2 months to get approved made daily phone calls and emails just to be constantly told its with an examiner I originally sent to corby my old passport to be later advised durham was then dealing with my application
