Amazing service. Online autocheck initally questioned the photo background as difficult to distinguish but it looked fine and had been done in an approved booth so submitted application anyway. Went through fine no problems, 1 week application to letterbox.
I don’t think HMPO sign for letters so the Royal Mail tracking didn’t work in that sense but was delivered on time.

The online application process was extremely easy and quick. I got my photos + a code for the digital photo using a photo booth in the local Co-op and uploaded the digital photo when completing the online application. I then posted my old passport using Royal Mail Signed For service (2nd class). It arrived at the passport the next day, was issued the day after that and I received the new passport the day after that! Frequent updates from HMPO and Royal Mail meant I could track its progress. Excellent service!

Easy application process. I wasn’t able to send off my old passport until the 28th but they approved my application within 12 hours of receiving it so all in all took less than a week. Very impressed with the turn around.

Honestly cannot believe how quick it was. We took the photo ourselves which was my only stressful aspect. We needed quickly as wanted a last minute trip at Easter and old passport expired in May so just short of the 3 month required for France. Submitted on a Friday evening, sent the old passport on a next day guaranteed 1pm from a post office on the Saturday morning which was confirmed delivered on the Monday, marked as received by HMPO on the Tuesday and we had the new passport delivered the Friday morning so all in all less than a week!
