Easy and straight forward process. Explanations and examples very helpful for taking photo yourself.
Identity was confirmed in 2 days time, longest bit of wait was from ID confirmation point until documents marked as received. They were delivered with tracked service on 17th May but only marked as received on system on 23rd May. Possibly due to more people getting their passports made etc as summer is approaching.

13/09 application, Docs recieved 19/09 and authorised 6am 25/09 and printed 2pm same day. Notified by RM that delivery was expected 26/09 early evening and it was in hand by 5pm.
Although the photo was accepted online and it was third party confirmed as true resemblance to my daughter, they requested another picture as they thought it was not recent (she looks younger than her years!!) but when uploaded it was immediately accepted (4min) so didn’t delay it thankfully.

I was renewing my passport from Norway and did not expect it to be so easy and quick! I appreciated the regular updates emailed by the Passport Office. Here is my timeline:
Application submitted 14.05.24 and old passport posted same day
Old passport arrived at Passport Office 20.05.24
Passport Office acknowledged receipt of old passport 21.05.24
New passport printed 23.05.24
New passport shipped 28.05.24 and arrived 29.05.24
