All very straightforward and swift. The only thing that left me slightly anxious was that my documents were signed for on 25 Sept but not updated on their system until the evening of 29 Sept and I only received the notification in the morning on 30 Sept.
Passport was received on 6 Oct, 14 days after the application was submitted, and my other documents were returned on 10 Oct.
I used Special Delivery to send my documents and paid the extra for Special Delivery to return my old passport and ID documents.
The passport printing isn’t great, the info page hasn’t been printed square but I’ll blame Brexit for that!

1st time passport applied for in the Liverpool HMPO. A silly request to send all original travel documents for HMPO review of name spelling if applying in the UK. Photocopies if outside of the UK. 5 months later the UK passport has arrived but now, 10 months I am still waiting for my USA passport to be returned. First they told me on the phone that they had never received it but the story changed when I provided DHL Tracking number and confirmation of HMPO receiving. Can someone recommend a Solicitor to contact as no progress is available in Asian call centers in use by HMPO. Any news reporters who what this story of anquish of no return of a foreign travel document. lookkapypy at duck.com
